Last week I decided to bring some christmas cheer to the classroom and use the Sainsbury's Christmas advert, Mog's Christmas for my lesson.
I began the lesson by eliciting any vocab the students may know associated with Christmas. I was amazed how much the students already knew. The students then did a mix and match activity of Christmas words I had prepared with pictures.
I then gave the students some screen shots of the advert and told the to order it in the order they thought the story might happen. We then watched the advert and the students made changes to their order. The students then glued these in their books, before writing what they thought would happen next. We then watched the rest of the advert to see if our predictions were right.
This was a really simple lesson and very current for the time of year. Below is a link to the advert.
You can also buy the book titled Mog's Christmas Calamity from Sainsbury's and read it to your younger learners.
