Creating a snap group with your learners, ask them to produce short videos teaching a new piece of vocabulary or scenario in which the students have to try and learn. The fast past of SNAPCHAT will keep learners engaged. You can also have them post a picture of an object, have them label it in English and try to memorise the new words.
WhatsApp is a really useful tool for sharing a variety of media and experimenting with language.
To begin set up a WhatsApp group with your class. Have your students choose an English screen name.
Next students can answer questions, in the written form, or ask and answer questions using the audio link.
You can also set students a challenge of finding objects, by giving them a word and asking them to submit a picture, or you could give them a phrase or an idiom and ask them to submit a picture.
Create an account and take photos of objects, place and people and have the students comment on what these words are. Again you could also get them to write a sentence about what is happening in the picture. This will allow you to build a bank of pictures for your classroom resource images too. Equally students can take pictures and tag the group in so people can comment.
These are just a few simple ideas.
